Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. A person on plaster cast or any cast should maintain movement of the muscles from in side the cast by giving movement of the toes frequently. After removing the cast it is horrible to move a little for a moment, if one feel difficult to move he may not move it for ever with out the assistance of the doctor. then he needs the assistance of orthopedic surgeon and physiotherapist . You have gone to alternate medicine, at least now i suggest to follow the allopathy here every manipulation have a reasoning.
Besides i advise him to follow some non medical procedures, as Diversion procedures as yoga, meditation, reading books, hearing music. etc to divert him from the feeling that he is unable to move.
Avoid taking potato, other tubers, tomato, coconut, cauliflower, egg, fish, other sea foods, as they tend to increase the threshold of pain.
Give him more of green leafy vegetables , pulses, sprouts, fruits, juices, and dry fruits. to increase the stamina and body resistance to move him against resistance of the stiffening of the leg. Wishing for a quick recovery and thanks for calling.
