Treatment For Pain In Knee Due To Injury

Hello I was playing soccer two days ago and i jumped and landed on my left leg straight. I felt so much pain on my left knee until i bent my knee then he pain went away a bit . Now when i put my left leg straight i get a small pain on my knee. I tried icing but i still felt the pain and then i used heat and the pain went way temporarily. Is this something serious?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
1. Did u develop swelling in your knee? if yes - within an hour or gradually?
2. If you developed swelling then u need to consult nearby orthopaedic doctor to rule-out any bony or ligament / meniscal injury inside knee.
3. if you didnt develop any swelling then its mostly a non-serious thing : Use crepe bandage, give rest to the knee for a week or 10 days by using knee brace or knee cap.
4. Persistent pain warrants examination & consultation by orthopaedic doctor.
