Treatment For Odor In Urine With Pancreatitis And Diabetes?
I have very long history of pancreatitis; which is almost burned out now. I have become a brittle diabetic no matter how much I try. I take 4 shots of insulin and limit my amounts & what I eat. I go from 35 to 600. Am all over the charts daily. Recently I was told I have a lot of protein in my urine test. In fact, they want me to go to a kidney specialist. At first thought I should be on dialysis, but am not end stage renal failure yet. Also I have noticed an embarrassing odor from the urine no matter how many times a day I bathe. It is not like strong urine, but something else. My stomach is embarrassingly swollen and very noticeable. What can you tell me about what I have shared with only you? Thank you, JO JO
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
There are two basic possibilities you are facing. The first possibility is that you have developed a urine infection. Diabetics are commonly known to develop infections and urine infections are the most common possible infections.
Second possibility is that the medicine you are taking is not sufficient and the sugars are high.In this case too the urine has a smell about it
I would suggest checking sugars, urine routine and cultures. Treating with appropriate antibiotic in modified dose may help you. In fact urine infection may be a cause for your protien in urine too
I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above so i can be of help further. Best of luck.
