Internal piles or I or II degree, as it is called does not need surgery. Proper diet with plenty of fibres - fresh raw vegetables and fruits and drinking plenty of watwer and avoiding excessive straining at stools would avoid/prevent further progression of the piles. It is also treated by one or more of the following methods : 1) Injection treatment at the region of piles itself to make it shrink. 2) Rubber banding usually in 2 stages to make it shrivel and fall off or 3) Infrared therapy also to make it shrink.
