Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Your husband may be a case of asthmatic allergic bronchitis with throat infection . Diagnosis can be confirmed by clinical examination as there are wheezing ( whistling sound during breathing), running nose , breathlessness, chest discomfort.
As your husband got relief with steroid and pentaprazole ,but in spite of this there is infection in the throat , so he is feeling pain and difficulty in swallowing.
May be a strep throat so get in a swab from throat and culture and drug sensitivity test will find out the exact nature of causative organism.
Antiseptic solution will provide some local relief in throat .
Consult an E N T and physician & get their opinion .
Good luck. Dr. HET
