Took Antibiotics For Athlete's Foot Turned Infection, Foot Still Swollen. Is It Staff ?
hello, i need some advice. my sister thinks she has staff on her feet. she currently lives in s. korea and was diagnosed with athlete's foot turned bacterial infection and has been on antibiotics for 3 days. her foot is still swollen, red and hot to the touch. i am worried that the infection is spreading because her ankle and leg are now swollen and i am worried that she is not being treated accurately. what should she expect to happen next?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Red swollen, hot ,painful means inflammation is there but proper diagnosis is not possible without physical examination. X ray of injured part is very important as it will tell sprain, or fracture ( chip or large). Since, what type of treatment ,she is getting? If possible upload the report of X ray as well blood report. At present it is not possible , is it staff or something else. Hope you will proceed according to condition. Consult an orthopaedician and his opinion is very important. Good luck. Dr. HET
