Tonsil Problems

My right tonsil has been swollen for the past month its making it hard to eat anything. Today I started spitting out a lot of blood. Plus I have big white chuncks coming out of my right tonsil. What do you think it is? What should I do? I have no health insurance.

Good Day
It appears you probably have Infected tonsils. If you do not receive medical care it could be dangerous for you due to spread of infection to the other tonsil, affects your throat and ears. Go to the ENT Specialist as soon as possible. As of now, eat bland, soft to semi-solid food. Don't consume hot fluids. Drink cool fluids. Hydrate yourself well.

Hi Rebecca,
Welcome to HCM.
It is unfortunate that you do not have health insurance. Your problem needs consultation with an E.N.T. Surgeon, and most probably your tonsils will need surgery as they appear to be severely infected.
See if you can get Government aid for treatment or from any charity institution.

Yes visit to the emergency room is the best. They can give you medicines for temporary relief.
