Tongue soreness with increased sensitivity to heat, red and white rings around tonsils, painful red spot on the back of the tongue. Had tonsils removed. What could this be?

Hi, i have had tonsillitis-like symptoms for a couple of days now and my tongue is sore and sensitive to heat. Although i had my tonsils out last year, where they were is red and has white rings around the edge on both sides. Today i have noticed quite a lot of painful red spots on the back of my tongue. What could this be?
