Toe Nail Injury, Black Discoloration, Pain On Bending, Swelling. Cause Of Worry?
Hi, I ran my toe into the wheel of a trolley 2 weeks ago. The bottom of the nail is black and it hurts when I curl my toe. My friend s grandmother had her entire leg amputated because of that, I m scared it ll happen to me although it s highly unlikely. It is kinda swollen but doesn t hurt unless I bend it. What should I do?

The blackish discoloration of your toe is due to hematoma formation which will resolve within a week or two. your friend's grandmother might have amputation due to gangrene of the foot which occurs due to diabetes. there is a gross difference between these two conditions. so you not have to wory
