Toe Nail Detached And Separated From Cuticle. Will The Cuticle Grow Back Or Reattach Itself ?

I stubbed my pinky toe and the the cuticle is no longer attached to the skin . The cuticle is just sitting on the nail and now there is a space above it. It s not painful, though. Will the cuticle grow back or reattach itself?
