Toddler With Fever, Keeps Pulling Ears. Is The Temperature Due To Ear Infection?

Hi my 12 month old baby s temperature has been slowly rising all day it is currently at 37.6 but he is very moody & keeps pulling at his ear? Is this after effect of 12mth jab which he had a week ago or should I have him checked for an ear infection? Also could you tell me what is classed as a high temperature at this age ? Thanks
