Toddler Suffering With Throat Infection And Fever, Difficulty In Swallowing. Medicines?
Dear Mr Mathur From the description given, if your daughter is unable to swallow anything including water -- She needs to be seen by a Pediatrician sooner. Even if I recommend some medicines and she is unable to swallow, medicines won t work. I would try following medicines in the interim before she gets seen by a Pediatrician: Syr Calpol (250 mg/5ml) 4 ml, max 4 times a day Maintain adequate intake of liquids to prevent dehydration (give 2-3 spoons at a time, and repeat every 10-15 minutes) Hope you are able to see a Pediatrician very soon and wish her speedy recovery Regards Dr Tejas Shah
