Toddler Dislikes Ordinary Solid Foods And Vomits Post Eating These, Eats Only Cerelac, Milk. How Can I Generate Liking For Ordinary Solid Food?

My daughter is 2 years and 2 months but still she doesn t eat rice, fruits, vegetables. She only eats Cerelac and plenty of Milk. She vomits whenever I force her to eat ordinary food. If I offer little chicken or fish she can take it but very little. But whenever she sees chips or chocolates she always ask for it and dont vomit. How can I make her eat ordinary solid food and what are the correct timing to give her milk? Thanks

dear joydelapaz.
welcome to hcm.
Children definitely like to experiment new things. The chips and chocolates come in a very colouful and variety of packagings which will surely lure the innocent minds and force them to eat them. of course they do have oils and fats in them which make them tasty too.
I would like to make it a point that U too start pouring ur cooking skills and make the food items really colourful and a variety and u can add ghee/oil while frying or preparing the items. Use the vegetables which are cut into very small pieces or what u can do is make tasty soups/vegetable cutlets/vegetable fried rice/ Vegetable porridge, etc.
avoid giving her spicy chicken/fish. let they be slightly bland.
She may be having refusal for the feeds because of gastritis too. So, I'll recommend Syp.Ranitidine 3.5ml given half an hour before meals twice daily.
dont force her to eat everytime. Encourage everyone in the family to hav food at a time. Ur daughter will join U all and will cherish the food.
Do not feed the baby in front of the TV or by playing a cartoon. this will not help her in anyway.
take care:-)
thank you:-)
