Toddler Bitten By A Dog, Suffering From High Fever, Stomach Ache And Hives. Is It An Infection?

hi, my baby sister is 2 years old and had a dog that came from greece to live with us for 2 months and during the time he bit her . The bite that wasnt very bad and didnt rip through the skin but about a week after she had hives and redness swollen areas around her body basically all over. And now she has high fever and her stomach aches and loose boil . we took her to the doctor and they said it might be a viral infection and gave her steroids. please help us please and thank you

Hi.
I appreciate your concern for your sister.
You have not mentioned when was she bitten by dog and if rabies vaccination has been given or not.
the symptoms you have mentioned points towards some allergic manifestation for which she is put on steroids.I advise you to give paracetamol for fever,give her plenty of fluids,in case condition does not improve again take her to doctor.
your sister will be fine,
