Tiredness, High BP, Chest Pain, Blurred Vision, Temples Swollen. Advised Blood Test. What Is He Checking?

My 32 year old daughter has said that her Dr has ordered blood tests as her symptoms are : severe tiredness, high blood pressure, chest pains ( intermittent ), blurry vision and she has noticed that her temples were swollen one day which is what prompted the visit to the Dr. Could you please tell me what the Dr could be checking for?

Hi Dear
Welcome to Health Care Magic

As you have described the symptomatology.The physician may be interested in evaluating her Cardiac status.

Possible basicinvestigation;

CBC, ESR,
CXR,
ECG,
Echocardiography
Kidney Funtion Tests
Fundus Examination by ophthalmologist.

If he finds any abnormalities in these basic test then he may ask for some fruther investigation to pin point the diagnosis

Hope your query is answered.
