Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
Chest pain can be related to any structure in the chest from the skin inwards.
Skin- there can be pain related to some rashes such as shingles
Soft tissue- there can be pain related to the muscular tissue in the chest from inflammation or injury
Bones-
costochondritis is inflammation where the ribs meet the sternum, this can be associated with pain which is generally worse with movement. This pain can be severe
Esophagus- this structure can cause pain in persons who have
gastroesophageal reflux disease or in cases of esophageal spasm
Lungs- pain can be related to the lungs in conditions such as pleurits ( inflammation of the lining of the lung),
pneumonia,
pulmonary embolism ( blockage of a blood vessel in the lung)
Heart disease- normally this pain occurs on activity when the heart is working its hardest and resolves on rest. It may be associated with
shortness of breath, palpitations.
It would normally be related to decrease blood supply to some part of the heart. If the ECG and tread mill were normal it is unlikely that you have heart disease.
Chest pain can also be related to
anxiety. In this case shortness of breath and palpitations can also occur along with the chest pain.
I hope this helps
