Tired Due To Sleeplessness. On Luvox For Depression. Prescribe Medicine For Sleep Along With Luvox

I have been having trouble sleeping and have recently been prescribed temazepam which did not seem to help. That was about 6 months ago. I am currently taking 100mg Luvox each day and have been for 2 years now. Luvox was prescribed for depression and has definitely solved that issue. However I feel tired all the time and I believe this is because I rarely sleep well. I was taking the Luvox at bedtime but due to lack of sleep started taking it in the morning. I would really love a good nights sleep and also will be traveling overseas in a few weeks and would like to know is it ok to take a medication to help me sleep whilst on Luvox and if so which one ? You have been on Luvox 100 mg bedtime for depression.

Luvox is an antidepressant which functions as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI)

Insomnia ( lack of sleep),feeling tired are the side effects of Luvox

You need zolpidem 10mg bedtime for sleep and follow sleep hygiene measures for producing good sleep

You can travel while you are on these medications

I suggest you to consult Psychiatrist/Neurologist for adjustment of drugs.
