Tiny, Itchy Blisters And Welts On Forehead, Swollen, Red Poison Ivy Reaction On Eyelids. Taking Zyrtec Advised?

I am having a poison ivy type reaction on my eyelids and forehead primarily and a couple of spot on my body. tiny blisters and welts on my forehead and spotsmon body. Eyelids are swollen and red like i have gone ten rounds with Rocky. My eyelids dont itch but the rest does very much. Been taking benedryl which helps some with it some but makes me so loopy. Can i take Zyrtec instead?

Thanks for the query,

You have developed a contact dermatitis to poison ivy.

Zyrtec ( cetrizine) is a newer antihistamine,

You can take it, but along with it also apply some topical antihistamine or mild steroid cream.
