Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,
The tingling and numbness in the distribution that you are describing is suggestive of involvement of trigeminal nerve. There wont be any change in external appearance unless there is weakness of jaw muscles which too are served by trigeminal nerve. The involvement can be due to various causes. MRI scan of the head with a focus on trigeminal nerve would be required to establish cause. There are medications which can relieve you of tingling. You need to consult a neurologist for further evaluation.
Good luck.

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Prasad Akole's  Response
Dear friend, welcome to HCM.
looks like sensory affection in the distribution of facial and hypoglossal nerves.
do you get eye size difference? is angle of mouth deviating abnormally?
is swallowing difficult?
voice change?headaches?
if any of these are consistent, pl. see your doctor or better a neurologist. such symptoms may occur with brain lesion affecting thsese nerve origins/ course in the skull. they will check in details , and if really find 7 and 8-9th nerve affection, will order an MRI brain.
get evaluated and do not worry.
take care and keep me posted on your progress.
Good luck !
