Tingling In The Calf Muscle After Exertion. What Is The Treatment?

Last Sunday, I completed a 7 mile run and a 10.4 mile hike. Since, my right calf (I think it is my soleus) when I stretch or squat in a low position feels tingles or like old elastic where it cracks when stretched. I am signed up to run a half marathon on Saturday and am nervous that a tear might occur. What do you think caused this or is there something I can do to make this go away? It is not sore, it doesn't hurt, just when I get into that low squat or stretch I feel the tingly/numb sensation. I have been an avid runner for 10+ years and currently work in the fitness industry, so exercising that much should not have been an issue. Thanks!

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
hello friend ,
Thanks for writing to HCM
I have studied your case .

For this exertional syndrome you can take muscle relaxant and increase your water intake so that contracted muscles will regain elasticity .

PHYSIOTHERAPY will help in speedier recovery.
Take calcium with vit D supplement.

Get MRI done if pain persist longer.

For further query contact my profile directly.
