Thyroid, Blood Test Done. Can Any Online Doctor Help Me Read This?

I had a blood test done today and my results were all normal except for the following: Serum glucose: 106 Triglyerides 179 HDL 33 LDL 126 I have "white coat" high blood pressure, as usually it's 120/78 or so. I have been on thyroid med for about the last 7 years as it was detected on the low side back then. I am 6'1" and at 230 lbs. I work out hard, but not always consistent. Eat a lot of good food, but also will binge when stressed. I do have family history of heart disease. Should I just try to get my weight down in your opinion?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Weight management and heart disease risk go hand in hand. Thyroid diseases also cause weight related problems in some. There might be certain limitations considering thyroid function and weight management in you. You may get in touch with a nutritionist and physical trainer who can suggest you the correct daily diet and physical activity keeping a well monitored weight management plan in mind. Your endocrinologist also needs to be informed so that he can balance the thyroid medications you have been taking.

Hope this helps
