Throbbing Pain From The Foot To The Knee. Pain Medications Have Not Been Of Any Help.

In the last two weeks whenever I remove my compression garments, about an hour later my left foot feels like it is encased in ice, then it slowly gets very warm and throbbing which extends all the way to my knee. The pain seem to be worse if I lay down and elevate my legs as advised and pain last most of the night despite pain medicals and some usually effective topical creams. I am to the point where I am considering not compressing any longer but It was a very long painful journey to get this far.

Hi
Now you are treating for vascular insufficiency of leg.I doubt whether it is appropriate diagnosis for you.You have to rule out neurologic cause of pain also.X ray LS spine will provide some details about that. After that you might need to do an MRI LS spine.Consult an orthosurgeon or neurologist and rule out this cause. If it is that then NSAID drugs muscle relaxants and physiotherapy might benefit you.
hope this may help you
thanks
