Throat Hurts While Swallowing And Have Ulcerative Colitis. What Should I Do?

My throat hurts when I swallow . The pain seems to go deeper in my throat as I swallow. I ve had my tonsils out. The ent did say I had a tonsil remnant. The pain is on both sides and it hurts when I talk and touch my neck. No fever. I can see very thick green drainage down the back of my throat. I have ulcerative colitis and had Remicade last week .

Please get an X ray PNS water's view done as you are describing a symptom known as post nasal drip for which cause can lie in nose or sinuses. If some finding is there in X ray, you may need a CT scan PNS. You can use mucolytics, a course of antibiotics and nasal decongestants along with lots of steam inhalation. Regards
