Throat congestion, yellow mucus stuck in throat, blocked nasal passages. Treatment?

Hi Doctor, I have a feeling in my throat which is bringing a lot of discomfort. I there is thick mucus on my throat and am not able to force it out with my throat muscles. Esp wen i wake up ..i have sometimes a blocked nose and mucus from the throat is yellow in color and hard like glue..Please give me a remedy for this. Also sometimes wen i clear one nose completely cold air getting in makes me have uncomfortable feeling just slightly above the nose but to the inside

Hi, Thanks for query.
It seems that you are having upper respiratory tract infection.
Mostly it is viral infection and will be alright within few days.
Do Listerine gargles.
Take decongestant and anticold medicines.
Avoid fried and junk food.
Take boil water steam inhalation with Vicks or balm.
