Thin Walled Gallbladder, Intense Shadowing Mobile Echoes In Lumen. Treatment?
Hi I'm 37 y/o. I was examined in upper abdomen. Results was the gallbladder is normal in size and configuration. The wall is not thickened. There are about three intense shadowing mobile echoes in the lumen, the largest measuring is 8mm. The common bile duct and intrahepatic ducts are unremarkable. Is there is medicine intake to dissolve it?
Hi,
Thanks for writing in hcm.
From the description which you have given the diagnosis seems to be gall stones. You can try dissolution treament provided the stones are soft and do not exhibit post acoustic shadowing which your report does not mention. If this fails then the treatment in symptomatic cases is cholecystectomy.
Regards
