Thickening Of Collar Bone, Tenderness. Not Tissue Swelling. Suggestion?

I have noticed a thickening of my collar bone in the last 2 months. Definately NOT a soft tissue swelling. I wouldn't call it painful. More like tender when pressed on and achy. Any thoughts as to what would cause that? If I need to see a physician, or have any studies done, what would you suggest be done, and what specialist?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The bony swelling on the collar bone without any history of injury to the area is a worrisome finding. You need to get the area examined and investigated - X-ray and MRI to find out the exact cause.
