Thick green mucus from nose. Had tonsillectomy and adnoidectomy. Taken mucinex. Suggest?

I had a tonsillectomy and adnoidectomy about a year ago and still I have thick green mucus that comes i guess from my sinuses almost everyday. Is that normal? When I talked to my doctor she said to take mucinex but nothing has changed. I use to always have sinus infections before the surgery now just the really thick green mucus.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Thick green discharge may mean infection
Chronic sinusitis and post-nasal discharge is likely.
CT scan of sinuses may be needed
A longer course of antibiotic / one covering anaerobic organisms / may help
