Testing in lower legs, stents needed, knee replacement scheduled. Stents put in before or after?

Hi: Had testing on lower legs/ankles, and am told I will need stents. How does this work and where is stent put? I am planning knee replacement middle of October, should this be done before or after? Any after affects? I was 85 in August, but was told by doctor that am half my age, and also very alert for my age, am pianist of our church also. Thank You

Hi..coco.., The stent is a flexible pipe , which is placed to connect two arteries or vein...
You need esquire your doctor, where they have planned to place it...
clearly know about the procedure before surgery...
