Terrible Deep Pain In Shouler, Arm Area Moved Between Shoulder And Elbow. Using Aleve, Motrin. Suggest
I have had a terrible pain for almost 2 month in my shoulder/arm area. It started in a pinpoint area at the upper part of my arm. Now it is a pain that is between my shoulder and my elbow. I have taken Aleve, Motrin, etc. Sometime heat helps, but i can't keep heat on it all the time and go about my regular day to day. It is a deep pain.
Pain in the shoulder and arm area can occur due to * local problems either in the soft tissues of the shoulder & arm or from the shoulder joint or arm bone (humerus). An xray of the shoulder joint & arm will show up any bony problems. An MRI scan is needed to establish any soft tissue pathology in the shoulder girdle or arm. * Cervical spine problems also presents as pain in the shoulder and arm. An MRI scan will help in establishing the diagnosis.
As your pain has been persisting for more than 2 months without any improvement with conservative measures, I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for further evaluation and management.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
