Tenderness And Pain In Left Arm Near Armpit, Tight Muscles Around The Area. Opinion?

Hi, I have tenderness and pain on the outside, left arm near armpit. It started with just tenderness and is continually worsening. I am now having problems using my left arm to certain degrees. I'm wondering if I have an impingement. The muscles around the area and neck are very tight. When I can loosen my neck up, I have more range of motion.
What's your opinion?
Thanks,
Kristi

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in the left arm near the armpit is likely to be due to a muscle sprain or tendonitis. If rest, hot fomentation and mild pain killers do not help then do get an MRI done for diagnosis.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
