Teen Daughter Has High Pulse Rate, Pain On The Top Of Head, Blurred Vision, Nausea, Chest Pain, Ear Ache. What Can This Be?
My sixteen yar hold daughter has a pulse rate of 110. Also she has been complaing of only one part of the top of her head hurting really bad. She has been complaing of blurred vision ,nausa, chest pain ,and her ears hurting. I have taken her to the ER and her Family DR and they both tell me its just a mild headache .What else can this be?
I have read your question carefully and I also agree with your GP. All this can be only because of headache only, but one must be cautious enough to rule out other important causes.
The pain in head associated with nausea and blurr vision, increased pulse and weakness can be related to migraine headache , but blood pressure needs to be checked. The point which is difficult to understand is that she has ear aches. May be it is upcoming viral infection, which is causing all these symptoms. It is seen in initial viral infection of upper respiratory tract.
If blood pressure is ok, then I think giving a pain killer ( may be injectable , as she has complaint of nausea) with anti emetic, and starting a course of antibiotic will make her good in one or two days.
Please do not worry so much, she will be fine.
Hope the reply is useful Feel free to ask more question Dr. Manisha Gopal
