Tear Under Head Of Penis. Using Antibiotic Ointments, Fungal Creams. Opinion?
Doctor, I have a small tear in the underside of the head of my penis. I have been to my family doctor and eventually a urologist. They both suggested just letting it heal. It has been about 9 months and it is still sensitive. The urologist said he didn't want to operate initially due to scar tissue that may result from getting stitches. Ive used anti-biotic ointment, fungal creams aswell as a steroid cream. It really affects my life because I want this to be fixed before I even try to be intimate with someone. Very irritating and embarrassing aswell. I think it may have torn from bending and getting squished in my underwear. I am very careful with myself getting in and out of the car due to my problem. What is your opinion please??
If you have already consulted a urologist 9 months back then it was the right thing to do. He must have taken a decision after examining your tear in detail. You might go for another visit now and discuss the healing of the tear with him. It is important that he sees the progress of the problem before suggesting any surgical treatment to you. Please keep the area dry and free from any infection.
Hope this helps
