Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

I must commend you and your dr on a brilliant control of sugars with tablets and walk and diet. your cholesterol is still on the higher side. under the normal circumstances i would have suggested a statin. however looking at the levels of your liver i would be cautious in doing so.

i will also agree with your dr to start the tablet udiliv, but i would like to change the medicine, just for a few days, to see if this could possibly be the effect of the medicines. having said that, the liver enzymes in themselves do not worry me.

i would also suggest an ultrasound to find out if you have fatty changes in the liver. if you do, that would explain the enzymes and also warrant the treatment. statins may then be needed

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above so i can be of help further. Best of luck.
