Taking Seasonale Birth Control. Having Gallbladder Problems. MRI Showed Tumors. Gained Weight. Side Effects Of Birth Control Pills?

I'm 40 years old. Been taking seasonale birth control. Now having gallbladder problems. Had ultrasound & hydroscan found out gallbladder not working properly. Also had MRI found 10 tumors on liver that were not there 5 years ago. Having a hepatic scan to make sure not cancerous. I have gained over 30lbs in a year. Could my birth control be causing these problems? My doctor told me to stop it just to be on safe side

YES,your birth pills could be responsible for causing liver tumors especially if you are using them for more than 5 years.
Liver tumors that are strongly associated with use of oral contraceptives are benign hepatic adenomas.Ninety percent of hepatic adenomas arise in women aged 20–40, most of whom use oral contraceptives with a high estrogen content.Approximately 80% of adenomas are solitary, and 20% are multiple.
You must stop the pills as suggested by your doctor.
You must not worry because these tumors are benign and chances of cancer are very rare.
