Taking Oxitol For Epilepsy. Is Conception Possible?

My wife having epilipcy.She is on oxitol 300 -2 tablets/day x 5 years course.The course starts from (2008-2013) & now the course period is ended but we steel continue.Before this 5 year course 3 years course ( 2005-2008) she had taken epsolin tablet. but after 3 year course complition she was again suffered with conversion within 6 month. so now her age is 30 years & we want baby .Is it possible.I would like to inform one thing during both course she had no conversion.

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
Epilepsy and use of anti-epileptic drugs do not prevent conception. So, your wife can safely conceive. However, she should continue the anti-epileptic medications as per advice of the doctor. In addition, folic acid vitamin supplements should also be used.
