Hi, Headaches occurring with an upper respiratory infection can be severe. I would suggest continuing with the Advil as this contains ibuprofen which has anti-inflammatory effects. Add paracetamol which is safe to be taken together with Advil. Steam inhalations 3-4 times a day will help reduce the congestion in your throat. Ephedrine containing preparations will also help and your pharmacist can advise on the most appropriate. Continue the amoxicillin as you need to complete the whole course and and antibiotics may take a few days to produce an improvement. Drink plenty of fluids to maintain your hydration.
