Hello Jessicadent1987,

You should not have missed taking the contraceptive pills or you should have used some barrier method. Ovulation generally takes place mid way between your menstrual cycle. During the ovulatory stage your body temperature gets slightly higher than normal. The cervical secretion becomes more sticky and thin. You can do the finger test yourself. Taking a sample of the cervical secretion you can try to stretch it between your index finger and thumb, the secretion will stretch for several cms before it breaks. This is the time when the chances of pregnancy are high. The sperms can survive in cervical mucus for around 72 hours. Some patients may experience discomfort or pain during ovulation.

You have not said anything about the duration of your menstruation cycle. Women having 28-32 day cycle are likely to ovulate on the 11th to 21st day on an average. ( fluctuations can occur as every women is different with a different cycle).

You can estimate your cycle and assess your condition. If you have difficulties, do consult your gynecologist and let her assess if the egg has been released or fertilized. You may be in need of emergency contraception depending upon the clinical results. Don't sit back at home. Have a good day.

Hi welcome to health care magic forum. The contraceptive pills have defenite plan to take, additional tablet usage doesn't cover extra safty of contraception. skipping the sugar pills have no problem, they are only to maintain the pill usage correctly. when you have doubt of pregnancy get the home pregnancy test of urine done and clear the doubt. the causes of not getting periods is pregnancy anaemia, harmonal disturbances etc. i advise you to consult a gynaecologist for diagnosis and treatment.
Besides i advise you some diet recomendations as Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, milk, egg, meat, sea foods, fruits, juices, and dry fruits to have a good health, resistance, and enough blood for wel being. Wishing for a quick result and thanks for calling.
