Taking Spironolactone For High BP. Have Pressure In Chest And Top Of Head, Numb Limbs, Trouble Sleeping. Reason?

I am currently taking spironolacton 50 mg a day to control my high blood pressure; which is under control. Currently I have slight pressure in my chest and top of my head. For the past month or so I keep waking with numb limbs . I am having trouble sleeping because of this. Recent EEG with my primary was normal. But why am I even right now feeling this pressure in my chest along with very dry mouth? I am scheduled to see Neuro in a month.

Hi, spiranolactone is expected to cause excess of potassium in the blood and related side effects. In this case you may need to have a change of the anti hypertensive drugs. so that there may be no increase in the electrolytes. So i advise you to consult your doctor for change in the drug. Thank you.
