Taking Rabipur Injection Along With Five Day Schedule Enough After Dog Bite?
Hi , I was bitten by dog on 16th of April 2014 @ 7.30 AM.I washed the wound after 30 minutes for 20 minutes and saw the doctor @ 11 AM. He gave me the rabipur injection and told me to take 5 day schedule and also I was told to observe the dog but the dog disappear from the place since the day incident happened. No data on dog. In this regard what I have to do?

Hi, I have gone thr ough your query & understand your concern. In case dog has disappeared after the bite & not possible to observe it, It will be better to - - continue with 5 dose schedule - addition of Rabies immunoglobin injection single dose after sensitivity test is advised to nullify the risk of dog being infected with rabies( before 7 days of exposure) Thanks
