Taking Propranolol For Hypertension Due To Alcoholism. Headache, Fatigue, Weakness. High Dose Medicine?

hi im a 32 year old woman. I am also a recovering alcoholic. I've been on propranolol 20mg twice a day for almost a year due to hypertension caused by excessive consumption of alcohol. For the past two months i have been exercising five times a week anywhere from an hour to an hour and half. This past week i have noticed a change in my energy level. I feel tired and weak-fatigued accompanied with a headache. Today has been the worst. Im planning on making an appointment with my primary care doctor tomorrow. Could the dosage of my blood pressure be too much for my body now that i exercise regularly?

Hello,
You seem to be right.Since you have started doing regular exercises and reduced your alcohol ,it seems that your blood pressure reading are lower than before resulting in headache and feeling tiredness.
You must definitely consult your doctor. You may need a slightly lower dose of propranolol now.
Exercises in itself can reduce your systolic blood pressure by 20 and similarly diastolic can fall by 10mm of Hg.
Thanks
