Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you are a patient of Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome ( PCOS) & taking minerva & metformin as this is in right direction .
Main question is blood clot in urine ? May be a misconception as bleeding was there on Wednesday.
Now after 3 day blood clot in urine , may be a part of menses as dysfunctional uterine bleeding is a common feature with irregular menses.
Backache is also present in PCOD cases and this is not uncommon.
Any way presuming that blood clot was in urine so please get in urine examination complete , if blood cells appears in urine then consult an Urologist and get his opinion.
Good luck. Dr. HET

OBGYN Dr. Shanti Vennam's  Response
Hi,
Your symptoms are suggestive of a urinary tract infection. In women, owing to the shortness of the urethra, infections are frequent, usually after a traumatic intercourse. I would suggest complete urinalysis, renal scan and the opinion of a urologist. The position of the coil should be established through a gynecological exam and a trans-vaginal sonogram. Blood pressure should be monitored. Renal function should be assessed. Blood counts, bleeding time and clotting time should be checked. You will need styptics to arrest the bleeding and urinary antibiotics if any infection is detected. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
