Taking Macrobid Antibiotics For UTI. Can I Drink Alcohol?

Hi, tonight it is one of my best friend's 18th birthday, so obviously there is going to be a drinking party. Now I have been on Macrobid antibiotics for the past 2 days due to a UTI. I was wondering if there was any way I could drink tonight? I know that alcohol makes the frequency to urinate greater, but I am no longer in pain so would this be an issue? Also, would the antibiotics be effected by the alcohol? I read somewhere that if you drink a while after the medication has been taken that there will be no effect and that the medication will remain unharmed as it has already been absorbed in the system.

MACROBID ( NITROFURANTOIN ) is an antibiotic used to treat urinary tract infection caused by certain bacteria.
Although alcohol is not allowed to be used while taking many of medicines but MACROBID has no known interaction with alcohol.
Thanks
