Taking Elinest As Birth Control. Missed Period After Intense Physical Activity. Should I Be Concerned About Pregnancy?
Been taking Elinest for 14mo for birth control. After a short time of intense physical activity in June of this year I did not menstruate. Normal cycle returned in July. Continued use has been uneventful until a few weeks ago I was due to menstruate (again after a short period of intense physical activity) and did not. I restarted the pills as usual, and did not test for pregnancy. I have never missed a pill nor been late in taking them. Please advise....should I be concerned about pregnancy now, or wait until I miss January s to confirm?

If you used the contraceptive pills as per the guidelines the possibility of pregnancy is less.

Hormonal pills can lead to side effects like irregular withdrawal bleeding, intermenstrual spotting etc.
So, if you have any doubt regarding pregnancy, once go for pregnancy test.
Better to go for blood test for accurate result.
If the test comes negative, the possibility of pregnancy is less.
And you can continue the hormonal pills as usual irrespective of withdrawal bleeding.
