Taking Duphaston Tablets For Irregular Periods. Had Sex. Take Another Contraceptive?
Hi I m taking a course of duphaston tablet for irregular periods issue, I started it yesterday n there are 17 days left in my periods but I had an intercourse today but my partner ejaculated it outside , I just want to make sure that should I take any pill to avoid pregnency or duphaston tablet will do dat job, I can t handle pregnency now so m afraid, plz guide. you are taking progesterone for the irregular periods, and you had unprotected sexual intercourse..
the progesterone also acts as a contraceptive, by making the cervical discharge thick, so that the sperm cannot penetrate and travel inside..
so there is no need of emergency contraceptive as of now..

Need to take another pill. Duphaston is Dydrogesterone and will not help to prevent pregnancy. It is indicated for progesterone deficiency like menstrual disorders, infertility due to luteal insufficiency and abortion.
