Dear friend,
Thanks for posting your query on this website. I can fully appreciate your concern for your problem.
1. Firstly, may I assure you that divaproex does not cause cancer.
2. Secondly, all antipsychotics and anti-depressants cause sedation.
3. In order to overcome sedation to some extent, medicine is usually started at a low dose, which is gradually increased every 7-10 days.
4. You were deeply sedated as you had taken 2 tablets instead of one.
5. Please visit your
psychiatrist and explain everything to her. She will definitely keep it in mind and modify the dosage schedule of divaproex.
I am confident that you will certainly benefit from the advice.
May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.
Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.
HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.
Fond Regards,
Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
