Taking Deviry To Induce Periods. Want To Take Ovral Before Having Sex. Can I Take It?
Hi doctor, nw i am using the Tab Deviry 10mg twice per day to continue my period.. i hv taken these pills last two days that means total 5 tab.. nw yesterday my period has started... bt flow is very low..and nw i want to take Tab Ovral-L tab for contraception because my husband wants to do intercoarse... may i take this pill from today?? please help me...

Once you have started the periods it is not possible to conceive.
Conception only takes place when intercourse takes place during ovulation period.
During menstrual cycles no conception takes place.
Regarding the emergency contraception- Ovral-L tablets, it has to be taken after having unprotected intercourse.
Two tablets are to be taken after 120 hours of having unprotected sex and another two after 12 hours.
It is an 'emergency contraception'.
There are other modes of contraception like barrier method which can be used.
If you want along time contraception then Depo-provera injection is a good option. It is injected in the forearm and is effective for three month period.
Please consult your gynaecologists ofr further details.
