Taking Cipro, have sunburn like rash around waistline with dry feeling. What is the cause?
I just got out of the hospital an I was given the medicine Cipro.. after taking it I noticed I had a sunburn looking rash going in front around my waistline halfway thus far.... It did have flaky spot on one side but put lotion on it an now it s dry feeling. It itches a little at times but don t know whether it s the lotion I m putting on there. Can you please help me figure this out!

Its rare that cipro can cause such a rash , that too localised.
You might have developed fungal infection.
Please get a KOH mount done,
This can confirm the fungal etiology.
Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
