Taken Barium Swallow Test. Stools Brown In Color, Report Suggest Stools To Be Chalky White. Suggestions?

This morning at 9:30 I had a barium swallow test. I received instructions to drink plenty of fluids, high fiber foods, etc.to help in eliminating barium through the stools. I ate and drank as I should have and had a perfectly good bowel movement after dinner tonite and the stools were same color brown as usual. Everyone and every report I read said stools should be chalky white or light. Not mine. what's happening? What should I do?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

After barium swallow, stool becomes light colour for few days.
But even if stool colour is yellow, it will be excreted out of your body.
Don’t worry at all.

Take Care
