Taken Pilex For Piles. Constipation, Numbness In Waist. What To Do?
Hi, My mum is suffering from a piles for nearly 3 weeks now and she has tried a pilex cream and tablets and other creams prescribed by doctors. She had also been careful with her diet , which does not seem to be that much of a help. She is slightly constipated. But now is saying that she feels a little numb by the sides of her waist line as if there is lack of blood circulation and soreness. Can you please advise further as to what she can do? Thank you.
Although the diet, I would suggest your mom to start taking oral supplements containing fibers (e.g.psyllium) to help soothe the fecal mass.
In addition, I always recommend sena leaves tea or pills to my patients with such problems.
With regards to her numbness in the waist line, to my opinion, it might be related to constipation problems and piles that slow down the bowel movement.
I would like to know if the doctor has done any abdominal ultrasound or gastroscopy or gastrography to exclude other intestinal problems.
At last, you can consult your mum's doctor to start using psyllium and sena and to be active and if she can perform the above-mentioned tests.
Do not worry, such problems need time to get healed and recovered.
All the best!
