Taken Omeprazole For Acid Reflux. Should I Worry About Side Effects?

I took Omeprazole for acid reflux but it did not help. I quit taking it. Should I worry about any side effects? I took it several months. I sent to you a message about why I was taking the medicine. My main problem is getting well from Hosheopoto Thyroid when I was not treated for that. I functioned very good until I was removed from Armour Thyroid and placed on Synthroid for over 20 years. Norma Doane What do I do now to get healthy again?

Thank you for posting your question here, I will try to answer it to the best of my abilities.

Well if you no longer have acid reflux then quitting omeprazole doesnt affect you at all, but if you still have acid reflux then I recommend you should either start taking it again or ask your doctor to change it with either H-2 antagonists or antacids.
As if you dont, there is a chance of having cancerours effects on your esophagus.
So see your doctor as soon as possible.
Ask for other alternatives instead of synthroid as well, tell him that this medication doesnt suit you.
